Posted in Uncategorized on July 28th, 2010 by dan – Be the first to commentHi guys, welcome to my blog about how to tone your stomach. In this post I wanted to give you some details about how to burn stubborn belly fat and tighten you stomach including the methods that best worked for me. I have tried countless diets, exercise regimes, and ab programs and products in my quest to tone my stomach. I spent a lot of time, money, and effort before I finally discovered a way to tone my stomach that actually worked well. Click here to discover what worked for me
I was never overweight, in fact people always thought I looked slim – when I was wearing a t shirt. However once I took the t shirt off, my flabby stomach was there for all to see. It didn’t seem to matter how much I exercised or dieted, I couldn’t achieve that nice toned stomach that everyone wants. Going to the beach, swimming, and pretty much any activity which involved “exposing” my body was simply not on the agenda. All the diets and programs I achieved were hard work, confusing, and plain difficult to follow.
You see, If you want to tone your stomach, we are told that there are two things you cannot escape from:
1. You need to change your diet
2. You need to perform exercises that target your stomach muscles
Most people interpret this as just cutting down on fatty foods, doing endless cardio, and doing countless sit ups – I know I tried that method, and I got nowhere! But what I finally learnt was that these ideas are just clichés, and there are far more effective ways to tone your stomach. When I started studying the truth about abs, I realised that I had been going about toning my stomach completely the wrong way, and was wasting all that effort I was putting in. It’s simple really – If you want to tone your stomach, you have to realise the following:
Don’t target your abs: This sounded odd to me at first, but there is good science behind this. My performing exercises that only target your abs (like the dreaded stomach crunches) all you are doing is growing the ab muscles. This plays no part in toning your stomach, because if you want to tone your stomach, the main thing you have to do is get rid of the layer of fat covering your abs. Stomach crunches will not remove this layer of fat!
Don’t over train: Over training can be counter-productive when you are trying to tone your stomach. It can also drastically demotivate due to the fatigue it causes. If you want to tone your stomach, you are better off doing few workouts, and making the most of them. I scheduled just 2 sessions per week, but really made them count as for each one I was very energetic. None of the exercises I performed targeted my abs!
Diet “smart” and don’t starve: The diet and exercise program I used to tone my stomach had a detailed and extensive guide to food and eating. I was surprised at some of the food I was allowed to eat, and it really turned my thinking on its head. I was able to eat lots of meat and fatty foods despite originally thinking that these would be off limits. The important thing is to give your body all the nutrition it needs, and definitely avoid starving yourself. By changing my diet and being smart about it, I was able to change my body into a fat burning machine.
By following these simple yet proven and effective techniques, I was able to noticeably tone my stomach in under two months. Four months later I had a visible six pack!
I hope you found these pointers helpful, If you want to know more about how to tone your stomach, you can get more details about the diet program and exercise regime that worked for me by checking out the video on this site (there is one for women, and one for men)
